Get started with FaunaDB

FaunaDB is a distributed operational (OLTP) database for modern cloud and container-centric environments. It is the world’s first commercial database that is inspired by Calvin.

Overview

Our Tutorials chapter describes how to accomplish various data storage, retrieval, and querying tasks.

The Fauna Query Language chapter describes, in detail, all of the functions available for writing FaunaDB queries, as well as coverage of data types, documents, collections, databases, indexes, and sets.

The Drivers section describes how to install and use all of the supported, language-specific drivers available for FaunaDB.

The Security chapter provides details about FaunaDB’s keys, tokens, secrets, and attribute-based access control (ABAC).

The Concepts chapter describes all of the FaunaDB terminology.

Finally, the Release notes chapter describes how FaunaDB and the FaunaDB Console have evolved.
